Stakeholders in six Cleveland neighborhoods are invited to participate in community meetings to review and re-envision Neighborhood Leadership Institute’s Schools as Neighborhood Resources program. SNR is Cuyahoga County’s oldest and most comprehensive model of school, family and community collaboration, turning six CMSD schools into community gathering places designed to improve the educational environment and social development opportunities for students and families. Attendance was down last school year, despite continuity in sites, programming and marketing, and stakeholders are being invited by neighborhood partners to begin a process of understanding what’s working, and what needs to change, to make each site a truly valued resource for residents of all ages.

The meetings will be held in the neighborhoods in cooperation with local agencies. The goal is to uncover the values, concerns, and opportunities for the program to truly connect with and engage community residents, and to rekindle the spark of community engagement in planning SNR programs going forward.

The following meetings are currently scheduled, with meetings for John Adams and Sunbeam in the works.
