Schools as Neighborhood Resources (SNR)

Tutor and child at blackboardSNR turns schools into community gathering places and centers for lifelong learning. The program makes six Cleveland schools available for recreational and educational activities in the evening. The schools are open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from October through April. All activities are free and open to the public. Participants range in age from elementary school children to senior citizens.

Students drumming During program hours, the buildings are also available for a variety of community uses, including youth group meetings, band rehearsals, coaches association meetings, clubs, singing tryouts, drama productions, candidates nights, alumni association meetings, and science fairs.
