Started in 2015 with just 22 schools, True2U will serve 2500 students this school year in the 8th grade in Cleveland Metropolitan School District, with the support of about 500 volunteer mentors.

You can help our future leaders grow and develop by becoming a True2U Mentor. Volunteer mentors are matched into teams of 2 or 3, and then assigned a small group of about 12 students to lead for the year.

Mentoring teams meet with their youth at the school on nine Thursdays mornings, leading and facilitating discussion in a structured curriculum that helps youth participants explore their values, interests and strengths and get a new perspective on career options from their mentors.

This process helps define and shape their choice of high school from among more than 39 choices in the CMSD portfolio, and sets them up for success in college, and/or their careers.

Mentor Benefits include training and enrichment in the topics, facilitation techniques, and cultural competency skills–provided in person at your convenience, and online.

Plus, you’ll have the satisfaction of helping shape—and being shaped by—the next generation of Cleveland’s leaders. Get the full schedule and list of participating schools by clicking here: True2UMentorSchedule
